New Name Ideas?

People keep asking me what I am going to change the blog to when I have Dylan. I honestly don't have an answer, so I was hoping you could help me. I guess the web address will have to stay the same but I need help with a new blog header/title. Should it be The Joy of Jenna and Dylan? Or should I come up with something totally different and new? Ideas?

Since I can't do a blog post without a picture of miss Jenna. Here is Jenna wishing you a Happy 4th of Thanksgiving? Most kids dressed up like pilgrims or Indians but Jenna decided to dress up like Uncle Sam. Gotta love her.

Hmmmm.....

I copied this picture from my friend Amy's blog. Amy is Evan's mom and if you remember, I did a blog post about Evan recently. Jenna LOVES Evan. She talks about him all the time, prays for him at night and lights up when she sees him. We went to Evan's birthday party this Friday and Amy took a picture of some of the kiddos.

1) This is NOT even Evan.
2) That is Noah, a boy that she just met that day!
3) I think I was standing right there when the picture was taken and did not notice any hanky panky going on.
4) Isn't a 2 year old party a little young for kissing games!?

Wildlife Ranch

Yesterday, Jeb had off for Veteran's Day so we headed to the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch with Grandma, Pop Pop, Uncle Sam, and Derek. We all had a great time. We drove around the park and fed the animals. I think Jenna's favorite part was that she got to ride in the car, not in her car seat.

The zebras were quite "friendly" and SO beautiful close up.

Jenna of course had no fear.

Mom was a different story. This guy came right in and sneezed all over me. And my sweet husband thought it would be so funny to lock the window so I couldn't roll it up! True Love.

Next, we hit the petting zoo, which was just goats. Jenna had the need to pet EVERY single goat. And she managed to do it.

This was the best shot I could get of Jenna and her cousin Derek. They are about 5 months apart and always have a fun time together.
My favorite part were the beautiful giraffes. I could have stared at them all day.

We had a picnic lunch and then headed home. Jenna fell asleep in about 2 minutes. What a perfect day!

Randomness

I love Jenna for many reasons but one reason is because she is so random. You just never know what she's going to say or do. Last week, Jenna entertained herself for about an hour by coloring the top of her sandbox with chalk. She laughed, sang and danced the whole time and was yelling random things like, "This is my fire truck!","This is my kite!" Her whole body was covered in chalk but she couldn't be happier.

She just cracks herself up.

The other day, I was washing dishes and Jenna was coloring in the next room. I kept hearing her say, "This funny?" over and over again to herself. Then, she walked into the kitchen and asked me, "Mommy, is this funny?" She held up her hand to show me her marker- tipped fingers. I told her she was funny and then she kept telling me how silly she is.

"This funny?"

It's hard work and quite tiring to be so random and funny.

Trick or Treat...

smell my feet,

give me something good to eat.

If you don't, I don't care,

I'll just go in my underwear!!!

And that is exactly what Jenna did. We got all dressed up as Tinkerbell and right before we walked out the door to Trick-or-Treat, Jenna pulled off her dress and refused to put it back on. So we let her go to a few houses of only the neighbors we know well and trick-or-treat.

The night before was a different story. I didn't buy a costume this year. We have so many dress up clothes that I just let Jenna picked what she wanted to be. Our neighborhood has a party at the park, so we went to that on Friday night.

We got to the park and played games, painted a pumpkin and played with friends. And then Annie B showed up and Jenna dropped everything she was doing and ran to greet Raggedy Anne.

How cute are they? Annie B won cutest costume this year. Jenna didn't make it to the contest this year- we were too tired.

This morning we went to our friend's Christi and Grady's house for some yummy food, football, crafts and more. The kids had the best time together.

We made Halloween shaped sugar cookies.

And Crafty Christi had the kids sponge paint pumpkins. So fun!

Halloween really turned into a whole weekend celebration and man am I tired! But we are thankful for such wonderful friends to celebrate with!

VEGAS with BABY!

Jeb and I spent the last 4 days in Las Vegas for a little vacation. We booked this trip before we knew I was pregnant. We went to Vegas over a year ago and I remember looking at other woman who were pregnant or had kids with them and thinking why in the world would you come to Vegas pregnant?! They must really have a problem or something!
Well, foot in mouth, and 7 1/2 months pregnant- Vegas here we come!!!


The first night Jeb bought tickets for a show but wouldn't tell me what it was till right before we walked in. He thought I might not want to go or think it was dumb so it was a surprise. My husband knows me so well because if he had told me we were going to see a ventriloquist, I would have rolled my eyes and sighed. We went to see Terry Fator, the winner of America's Got Talent, and he was SO funny! I loved it! He did all kinds of impersonations and was hilarious! Way to go Jeb!

I have a new respect for people that can talk and sing with their mouths closed.

The next day we ate dinner at the top of the Eiffel Tower. We did this last year and it was my favorite meal of the trip. I thought about that salad for a year and when I got it again, it didn't disappoint. There's a great view of The Strip and the water show at The Bellagio.



Outside of Paris. Probably the closest the Locks will every get to Paris.

The next night we ate a yummy dinner with my sister and brother-in-law at CraftSteak. The chef is from one of those cooking shows but I don't watch those so I can't remember his name. I think he's bald and mean. Delish!

The real reason we went on this trip was because of these guys: U2. Anyone that knows my husband, knows that he is obsessed with U2. Jeb already traveled to Boston to see them in concert twice, but I guess he thought I needed to experience it for myself. I didn't really know how Dylan would feel about this but he was a good sport and we had an amazing time. The Black Eyed Peas opened for U2 and got the crowd pumped up!

Asked the guy next to us to take a picture with the stage behind us. Hmmm. That didn't quite work out. But the concert was awesome and we had a blast!

I think we're going to take a break from Vegas and be doing some more family friendly vacations in the near future. But it was so great to get away and spend quality time with Jeb (and Valerie and Todd). I sure did miss Jenna but it was comforting to know she was with 2 of her favorite people, Grandma and Pop Pop. Thanks for taking such good care of Jenna!

True Love

True Love is sitting quietly together, not having to say a word, but being totally content.

True Love is when he makes you smile, for no reason at all.

True love makes you speechless.

True Love also takes you on magic carpet rides.

But please don't tell Evan that I LOVE to stare at pictures of Aladdin and Prince Eric.
