Update from Stuck On You

Jenna has taken a liking to shoes these days, especially my Crocs. Tonight, before bed, she thought she was really funny wearing just one of my shoes.

I have no clue why this made me giggle so much this morning but I walked into our bedroom and Truman was curled up in Lola's new dog bed. Truman has his own bed but I guess wanted to try out Lola's.


He was totally annoyed that I woke him up to take this picture.

Loving this Weather!

Sorry it's been awhile since I have posted. My fear when starting this blog was that I would run out of things to post about and some weeks just seem boring around here. Last week Jenna and I both had the stomach bug. Thankfully, my awesome mother-in-law came and took care of us. Then I had to take Jenna to the Dr. for her awful diaper rash. Now she's on 2 prescriptions and it's really clearing up. See why I didn't have too much to talk about last week!? It was either vomit or diaper rash!
But this week ( I know it's only Tuesday), the weather has been amazing and we've been spending a lot of time outside. Jenna loves being outside and she loves to climb on furniture, so she's taken a liking to our patio furniture.

She loves to walk around the furniture too and for some reason did not want her feet to touch the grass so she inched her way behind this chair.
She usually has her hands up like this when she walks. Pretty cute.

Uptown Girl

Jenna has been really into my purse lately. She loves to take everything out of it and drag it around the house. So I decided to let her play with one of my small purses. I had no clue how much fun Jenna would have with her own purse. She has been walking more lately but I have never seen her walk as much as she did today while carrying her purse.

What does a one year old carry in her purse? We packed it with a baby bottle, pacifier, fake cell phone and Jenna threw in one of her Little People.
It was hard to walk backwards and try to catch a shot. These are the best I could do!

Not much going on here...

So I wasn't going to do this but it's been a slow blog week, so I decided to go ahead and take the challenge. As I write this, I don't even know what I'm going to say, so here it goes...



1. I burp a lot and I'm really good at it. I grew up with a father who made you feel special when you busted out with a loud belch. He still does to this day. Luckily, I married a man who loves me even when I burp! :)

2. I loved NSYNC before anyone had heard of them. I watched a Disney special one summer where they did a concert and I loved their harmony and dance moves. I have all their albums, including their Christmas CD. I am not ashamed to admit this, well, a little maybe. But I am really looking forward to watching Lance Bass on Dancing with the Stars.

3. I am fascinated by earwax. This goes back to my mom, who used to clean my ears with a bobby pin. I loved to look at the pin and see how much ear wax came out. Jeb and I were meant to be because he has an insane amount of earwax! (I'm so in trouble for that one!)

4. I watch The Young and the Restless everyday. I have watched it since I was like 12. My Grandma Compton used to always have it on and there are the same characters on it since I was a little girl. I Tivo it and watch it during Jenna's morning nap.

5. If I could have any job in the world (besides being a stay-at-home mom) it would be a secretary. I think a church secretary. I love to answer phones, write down messages, file papers, open mail... I know it's not ambitious but maybe one day when Jenna's in school, I will follow my dreams!

6. I love filling out forms but I hate it when one asks what your hobbies are. I feel like a loser because I don't really have hobbies. I don't' want to be the dork that writes "hanging out with friends, shopping and talking on the phone" so I usually leave it blank. Then I get angry at myself that a piece of paper has made me feel like a loser.



So after writing those six things, I realize not one of them makes me sound or look good. And that most people reading this post will probably wish they never knew these things about me. So I apologize and thank you for reading this long post.
