Yesterday continued

We spend a lot of time outside. Jenna has found the perfect little place to hide and play, under a window sill.

She is the perfect height and loves to walk back and forth repeatedly.

I made the mistake of letting her play with the hose one day. So now she is obsessed with it.

I think she's wondering why the heck I am taking so many pictures.
Another new fun trick of Jenna's is that she is starting to eat with a spoon. We only do this at night right before bath time because she makes quite a mess!

She acts very proud of herself when she makes it in her mouth.

I will leave you with this random picture. This is what I found yesterday when entering our guest bathroom. It's a plastic serving tray with Jenna's pink shoes on it. Not sure what I was doing when Jenna did this or what she was thinking but it made me giggle.

I'm a total rookie but I played around a little with my new camera today. I have a lot to learn and am excited to do so. Here's a few shots from a typical day with JJ.

more and better pictures. I promise. As I stated in a past post, my camera is the pits. And after reading that, my parents decided to get me a Canon Rebel camera for my birthday/Christmas present! I received it this weekend when we went to visit my parents but it didn't come with a memory card and I have yet to have time to get one. So, that is my mission today and thus you will be getting more posts with (hopefully) much better pictures. I've been reading the owners manual and I'm so excited to start snapping picks!! So get ready my fellow bloggers! You're about to see Jenna in a whole new way!

Praise God for Elmo!

Update: Jenna woke up this morning at 5:00. :( So hopefully everyday she'll sleep about 30 minutes more!

Has this weekend's time change been hard on anyone else? I just don't remember it being that big of a deal last year when Jenna was a baby, but yesterday was tricky and this morning was, well, dark. All day yesterday, I kept asking Jeb "What time is it to Jenna?" or "What would Jenna normally be doing right now?" I know it's only an hour time difference but for a one year old, an hour makes a big difference. I guess Jenna thought we lost another hour this morning, because she was wide awake at 4:30 am! I tried to get her back to sleep by giving her milk, changing her and putting her back in her crib, but she was hysterical, so I got her up at 5:00 and we are now watching Elmo DVDs. Does this mean she is going to take her morning nap at 7:00 am? They need a chapter on this in the baby books!
Jenna is obsessed with all things Elmo. Don't worry, she still loves Queen, but Elmo is a strong second.

And the winner is...

Jenna!!! Jenna won her first contest tonight for Funniest Costume- Ages 2 and under- at our neighborhood Halloween carnival! And there was some serious competition!
We started the night off at Annabelle's Granny's house because she handmade both the girls' costumes.

She's really into pointing right now.

We went trick-or-treating at a few neighbors. Jenna had her first Jr. Mint. She was way more into shaking the tiny box than eating the candy. Jeb helped her out a little with that!

We had a fun night with our friends and neighbors. Having a child really makes holidays that much more fun and special. Jenna is living up to her name every day and bringing us such joy!

By the way, this is the costume that I bought for Jenna about a month ago. Could it be any cuter? Well, Jenna thought differently. Every time I tried to put her in it, she cried and screamed. I thought if I kept trying she would be OK with it by Halloween but that didn't seem to work. So our good friend Teagan is going to be a peacock tonight. Thanks to Annabelle for letting Jenna borrow her last year's costume!

Sorry, no pumpkins here!

Every other blog I look at (aka stalk) has cute pictures of their kids at pumpkin patches surrounded by hundreds of pumpkins. We just never made it to a pumpkin patch so will you please accept these pictures of Jenna with a pumpkin on her dress? Thank you!
