FIESTA

Every year, the city of San Antonio shuts down to celebrate Fiesta. I've lived here about 8 years, and I STILL have NO clue what we are actually celebrating. But schools take the day off, the courthouse shuts down and there are crazy amounts of parties and parades. No complaints here! Our church, Wayside Chapel, had a Family Fiesta Day so Jenna got her Fiesta on! One cannot officially celebrate without an authentic Mexican dress...

Jenna is supposed to be throwing this ball into the basket. Not sure this ever happened. Maybe her shades hindered her vision.
Here Jenna is fishing for ducks and trying to find the ones with a sticker on the bottom.

Score! Natural athlete! :)

Next we dug for treasures. Jenna didn't quite understand why all the kids were standing around the outside of the sandbox and not playing inside. I don't blame her.

Enjoying her first snow cone. I'd say it took about 2 minutes before it ended up on the ground. But it was great while it lasted.

Happy Fiesta!
Maybe I'll research this "holiday" before next year so I can explain to Jenna what the true meaning is.
Nah!
