Mission Impossible

Jenna first spotted Santa as he walked in from "feeding his reindeer". He waved, she smiled and all was good. I gave Santa a few Nilla Wafers and instructed him to use them if things went sour. I was all proud of myself for thinking ahead and thought I was quite the problem solver.

Somehow Santa did not understand my clear instructions or get the purpose of the cookies because our picture looks like this...

Do you see cookies being offered anywhere? Nope. So we went to American Cookie Company afterward and got a Dinky Doozie. Cookies can fix anything if used correctly.


Then we went to Pottery Barn Kids were Jenna tried to shoplift 4 pink poodle purses and a doll.

She looks sweet and innocent but she's quite devious.

Maybe she doesn't trust that Santa is going to bring her anything after their encounter and is trying to take matters into her own hands. But I have a feeling he's going to stop by our house!

Spoiler Alert!

In the form of two very loving grandmothers. Jenna got to spend some time with BOTH her grandmothers this week/weekend. My mom, Granna, came in town for a few days and brought Jenna's Christmas present with her- this cute little table and chairs. Jenna loves to sit and color, eat snacks and feed her babies in her new furniture.

Then Jeb's mom, Grandma, came and delivered this fun decoration for our yard.

Only an hour of assembly required.

Jenna was a little timid at first.

So Grandma hid little cookies on the penguins and she quickly made friends! The power of a cookie is quite amazing!

Jenna and Da-Da.

Yes, that's right. My daughter calls me Da-Da.

I carried her for 9 months, gave birth to her and stay home with her all day, and she still calls me Da-Da.

Sigh.

First Car Date

Man they grow up fast! Jenna went on her first "car" date today with our friend and neighbor, Ben. He picked her up around 4:15 and had her home by 5:00. Ben's mom, Annie, Jeb and I chaperoned. Ben and Jenna didn't speak the whole time but Jenna did poke Ben in the face a few times. All in all, everyone had a good time and we're hoping for a call soon!

Jenna brought her baby with her and Ben was totally okay with it.

It's hard to see from this picture (thanks, Jeb) but I got a "new" bike for Christmas. It's a 1970s model with one speed, a big cushy seat and long handle bars. I love it! We look forward to many more bike rides together.

My friend Annabelle came over to play today! We have so much fun and I am so happy!

Annie B loves to give me hugs. She teaches me lots and takes care of me.

We love to go shopping together and eat snacks.


But then Annabelle's mommy took her away.

And I am very sad.
I will go and find my friend! Yes, I will!!
