(Yes, I am totally ignoring the fact that I haven't blogged in over 4 months. I just needed a break!)

Nostalgic

There are a few things that Jenna used to play with that when Dylan starts playing with or using, I get very nostalgic. Jenna's little red car is definitely one of them. Jenna spent hours riding around our neighborhood in this car. We got every dollar spent out of it. I can remember when Jeb would get home from work and ask how our day was, I would explain it to him by how many car rides we went on. If it was a "5 ride day" then Jeb knew it had been a rough one. Being outside was often the only thing that made Jenna happy. And Dylan is no different.

He's so happy. He makes me so happy.

It took 3 years...

but I finally got pictures of my kids at a pumpkin patch. Every October, other people's blog are filled with precious pumpkin patch pictures and I always have intentions of going but we never have. Last week, our MOPS group had a play date at a pumpkin patch so I instantly got out my camera to take some of my own cute pumpkin pictures. This is what I got...

We went to a Halloween party today at our cousin's house. As always, Jenna had the best time being with her cousins and grandparents.

Check out this crew! Jenna's got her eye on Darth Vader.

Sadly, I think this is our best family picture to date. Again, pretty typical huh?

I have countless pictures of Jenna as a baby staring at her Uncle Sam just like this. Sam and Jeb resemble each other so much it always puzzles my babies!

Trouble with a capital T

And that rhymes with P and that stands for POtty! (Music Man anyone?)
It I turn my back on Dylan or walk out of the room for one second, I will find him crawling towards or in the bathroom. He loves to play with the toilet paper and sometimes the toilet water :( I caught him yesterday and had to take some pics because he looked so proud of himself when I walked in.

It's hard to get mad when he looks this cute!

I finally told him "No, No!" which he thinks is so funny. For the past two days, Jenna has spent hours "reading" and looking at an American Girl Doll catalog. We got it in the mail at 12:00 on Tuesday and she looked at it till 4:30. She would name all the dolls and have conversations with them. This funny thing is that she has no clue that it's a catalog that you can actually order the real dolls from. Just think if she actually had one!

Game Changer

As soon as Dylan started crawling, it really changed my days. Gone are the days of sitting him on a blanket, surrounded by toys, while I do a load of dishes. He's into everything, pulling up on anything he can and all over the place. But he's a lot of fun as he starts to do more "big boy" stuff.

Dylan started eating real food. Here are some shots of his first bites of spaghetti.

Now he hardly wants baby food anymore and will kick and grunt till I give him some real food!

Crawling- anywhere he can fit!

Pulling up on everything. Today he was watching big sister play outside.

She came over to give him some love. Yes, that is a look of love on her face. I have a picture of her holding Dylan the day we brought him home, and she's making that same face.

This week he started taking a bath with Jenna. See that scary grin again? She grits her teeth really hard when she does it too. Strange girl. Dylan LOVES taking a bath with Jenna. And naked Barbie dolls.

I can't stop laughing at this picture. It reminds me of one of those cheap K-mart studio pictures, with the bad lighting and goofy poses. "OK Dylan, now chin up, look slightly to your left and up, now discreetly place your arm to cover your privates and snap! Got it!"

And I had to post a shot of Jenna being Jenna.

She cracks herself up! I thought she was going to insist on going to Chic-fil-a like this but I was able to get her dressed!

A few of our favorite things

I still haven't quite figured out how to "go private" yet but plan to work on it this weekend.

My good friend Margaret gave Jenna a belated birthday gift:

A Taylor Swift doll!!! Could anything be more perfect?!

I think it took Jenna a few seconds to realize who it was.



But it was sheer delight when she did. Thanks Margaret for showing us all up and giving Jenna her favorite birthday present.
Oh, and she sings too. She doesn't get to sleep with Jenna anymore. I was tired of hearing "She wears shorts skirts, I wear T-shirts" in the monitor!

Dylan has discovered the stairs. And he is quite obsessed. The second you put him down, he crawls straight for the staircase.

I think he looks pretty proud of all his hard work!

He got to the top step and turned around to look at me as if to say "Ta-Da!"

Then he started to fall, so I tried to catch him and still snap the shot. Oh the things we do for a funny pic!

Jenna doesn't quite get what the fuss is all about and insisted that I take a picture of her climbing up the stairs too.

Last year for Christmas, my parents got the kids a wagon. I had visions of my children riding around in this wagon and now it's finally reality! Dylan loves it. He holds on for dear life but I can tell he is really enjoying himself!

Jenna opted to walk this day. And what else compliments shorts and a t-shirt in 100 degree weather? A Santa hat. Duh.

This was the best shot I could get of both of them looking at me. At the suggestion that she take the hat off for the picture, Jenna of course, shoves it further down her head. BTW- That's Taylor Swift's ponytail sticking out the back of the wagon.

Privacy Please!

I knew this time was coming but was putting it off. But Jeb has insisted that I go private. Due to his career and clients, I know it's the safe thing to do. My friend, Becca, also just told me a story about a lady in Brazil downloading pictures of her daughter to use in advertisements. Creepy!
