My sweet friend, Amy, offered to take some pictures of Jenna (and Annabelle) and have a play date with her kiddos. You have to check out her blog (http://www.comewhatcomemay.blogspot.com/) because all her pictures are fabulous, so of course Kate and I were really excited to have someone else chase our girls around trying to get a good shot. Here are just a few of the pictures Amy took.

Annabelle loves to check Jenna's pants to see if she has "poo-poo". She does this about 20 times a day! :) You should see how excited Annie B gets if Jenna has a load!

Jenna Birthday Part 2

I had to post another picture of Jenna's cake because I wanted you to be able to see the details of it. The icing is all little tiny stars that took Jeb's grandmother hours! Thank you Nanny! You are officially on cake duty for all of Jenna's parties.

Mi Casa Su Casa

The housing market is so slow right now that Jenna made a wise investment and got herself a modest little 1-1. It's actually a birthday present from my parents. Jenna got a little dirty while playing in her new house that we just took her clothes off. Here she is ringing her doorbell.

My mom went all out and landscaped her new yard with potted plants, stepping stones and soft mulch.
No shirt, no shoes- come on in!!!
She even has a phone in her house. Her number is not listed though. Too many telemarketers!

Just a few

With all the craziness of Jenna's party, I of course didn't take a single picture! So I'm waiting for my family to send the ones they took. Here are a few that Jeb's mom took.
The theme of Jenna's party was ladybugs and revolved around this lady bug dress. All the decorations were red, white and black (Go Wildcats!).

Jenna was SUPER excited when I came home with a big bunch of balloons. I never got the chance to actually decorate with them because she wanted to hold them all. So most of them ended up on our ceiling, popped or held by Jenna.
Jenna's grandmother and great-grandmother made this precious ladybug cake and cupcakes.

Who Knew?

That this little thing...


Could turn into this beautiful thing in just one year!
My baby is one today. Just typing that made a lump start growing in my throat and I know if I sit here and type all the things I love about Jenna, I'll be a mess. So I'll be short and sweet.
It might sound weird to say about a one year old, but I'm just so proud of Jenna. She went from being such an easy baby to such a delightful little girl. I had the easiest pregnancy and an even easier delivery. Jenna was great at nursing after a few days and slept through the night by 3 months. She's only been sick twice and really doesn't cry unless she's hungry or tired. I know these things have nothing to do with me, and just to do with how wonderful Jenna is. I'm so proud to have her as my very own daughter. I know I don't deserve her and every day I'm blessed with her is a gift from God. So I continue to pray that even on hard, crazy days, that I'll always remember how much joy and love she was brought into our lives.
We couldn't have survived this past year without all the love and support from our amazing family and loyal friends. Having a baby has really made me appreciate my own parents even more than I already did and made me rely on my friends more than ever.
Jenna is so blessed to have such an amazing community of people who already love and support her.
Tomorrow we will be celebrating with our family at our house. I'll post pictures soon!

Fun in the Sun

Jenna got an early birthday present today and we just had to try to it out! I wasn't able to capture a picture of her smiling but she really loved it and would squeal when her daddy would turn up the water and make it spray in her face. She didn't move from the little mat and kept trying to catch the water.

It's so fun having Jenna to remind me of all the fun and simple things of being a child. Sprinklers is definitely one them!

Has Anyone Seen My Baby?!

Everyone told us that time would fly by when we had a baby and man where they right! Some days it seems like forever ago that I was getting up every three hours, nursing and swaddling my little baby and other days it seems like just yesterday that I was pregnant with Jenna.
But all in all, this past year has flown by! And in just 5 days my baby is going to be one year old! In the past month, Jenna has really become a little girl and not a baby. She's very independent and has no fear. She's climbing all over the furniture, "talking" a lot, she refuses to eat baby food now and is just so full of life.
We went to park today and Jenna had a blast!
