BRANCHFEST

We have spent the past few days making our rounds in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. There were 3 very important babies that I needed to meet of three of my dearest friends.

First stop was in Dallas to meet Drew. Amanda's and my due date were just a day apart but since Dylan was so early, they are almost a month apart.

Next it was off to meet Hank. His mom, Kinsey, is one of my best friends from high school and my college roommate. These guys are about 4 months apart.

My baby girl seemed like such a big girl with all these new babies around.

This little man is the reason we went to Dallas this particular weekend. Meet Branch. My college roommate, Kimi, adopted him from Ethiopia just a few months ago and had a party to celebrate and introduce him to everyone. Branchfest.

I've been praying for this picture to happen for many years now and it makes my heart so happy looking at it. These are my college roommates from my Jr. and Sr. year at Baylor with our kids.

Next we headed to Granbury to visit Granna and Grandad. Here's Jenna making cookies with Granna.

My mom had her 4 sisters over and many cousins came over to meet Dylan. Jenna was so proud to show off her new brother.

Next stop was to Ft. Worth so Dylan could meet his great-grandparents. If I remember correctly, Dylan is their 17th great-grandchild. Grammy and Pappy are the most amazing prayer warriors. I am so thankful for their prayers and Christian influence in my life.

The weekend could not be complete without a new beautiful dress. Granna had this "wedding dress" and Jenna was in love to say the least.

Zoo plus 2

I feel like for about a year, every other blog post was about going to the zoo. Due to the weather and having a baby, we haven't been in quite awhile. But last week, I packed up both the kids and met our good friends, Ashley and Brooke, for a wonderful day at the zoo. I forgot how much I enjoy going and look forward to returning many more times!

Jenna spent as much of her time staring at her brother as she did the animals.

She also spent a lot of time entertaining her little friend Brooke.

Dylan wasn't so sure about the zoo at first but he warmed up. (Love the Hooter Hider around my neck- good look!)

We spent a lot of time at the Tiny Tot Nature Spot. Even though Jenna and Brooke are over a year apart, they played great together.
Dylan was all smiles. He loves it when I talk in a really high, annoying voice. Jeb's having a hard time getting him to smile because of this.

So happy. This little guy could not be a better baby. He sleeps about 20 hours a day and is pretty happy the other 4. Love him to pieces.

Night-Night II

If you know Jenna or you've read this blog for awhile, you know of Night-Night. He's Jenna's beloved teddy bear that she has slept with for over 2 years now. Her Aunt Sarah Jo gave it to her when she was born. So of course Dylan had to have a Night-Night and Sarah Jo had to be the one to give it to him.

Dylan took his first nap today with Night Night.

Dylan also had his 2 month check up today. Dylan is up to 10 lbs. 3oz but is only in the 10% percentile for weight and height. The doctor used the word "petite" to describe Dylan. I giggled and thought how his dad might not like that word being used to describe his son. But he's healthy so we're both happy!

One day my prince will come...

My mom bought Jenna this little toy box when she came to visit last. I'm sure she thought Jenna would use it to store toys, dolls, or stuffed animals. Jenna has turned it into a coffin...

Oh, I think I hear him now!! Good thing her lips are very well lubricated!

Jenna decided to join him. For some reason she found this so funny.

Is that a new beautiful blue dress? She saw this sundress hanging in my closest and insisted on wearing it. So I had to put a rubber band on the back to cinch it. She's worn it all day.

She also thinks it's hysterical to make Dylan wave.

Groundhog Day

So I've been a bit of a slacker with blogging and not just because I have a new baby but because our days look quite the same...

Today, Jenna mixed it up and decided to wear ALL her princess dresses. Layering is so in.

Grandma gave Jenna 3 new tubes of chapstick for Valentine's Day! So her constant application has continued. Thanks Grandma! ;)

This is how Dylan spends a lot of his time in the afternoon. He's become quite a mama's boy and I couldn't be happier about it!

Dylan is now 2 months. He weighs 9 lb. 9 0z. He just grew out of his premie/newborn clothes. He has teased me a few nights and slept from 10-5 but usually I feed him twice during the night. But he goes right back to sleep so I can't complain.

He gave me the best Valentine's Day present and smiled at me for the first time.

Jenna's Mini Me

Jenna got a very special package in the mail this week from her Nanny and boy was she excited! Anytime she gets mail, it's a big treat BUT getting a "beautiful dress" for her Barbie was very exciting! Nanny made a matching blue dress for Jenna's Barbie and you can only imagine how happy Jenna was to see it. The first thing Jenna said when she opened it was, "That's too small for me!" But when I told her it was a dress for her Barbie doll, her eyes lit up and she ran to get her doll.

I told Jenna to hold up her doll for a picture and boy did she!
